Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Distinguished Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely, received many grants and has been awarded numerous national and international prizes. She has advised numerous government agencies and governments around the world about policies and research relating to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
